Our Story
Welcome To JalanJalan
Jalan Jalan is a Malay term meaning walk or stroll, and by using this endearing term, we are simply inviting you to come in! We want you to come on in and experience authentic a little bit of home. Each member of our senior culinary team has over a decade experience in Asian cuisine, hailing from all parts of Malaysia, Vietnam, China, and Hong Kong!
We pride on using fresh ingredients, all our food is cooked to order and because we do not use any MSG you can be sure that all those flavours you taste come solely from spices, herbs and damn good cooking.
We first opened our doors in 2017 on Newcastle Road in Galway and since then it’s just been upwards and onwards. We then opened our second location in Castle Street in Sligo and our latest addition is just above Brennan’s Lane pub on Tone Street in Ballina.
Jalan Jalan Ribs
Fall off the bone slow cooked ribs with our homemade BBQ Sauce.
Tom Yum Goong
Traditional Thai Hot Soup cooked with lemongrass, lime leaves, galangal and tiger prawns.
Korean Chicken Wings
Deep fried fresh chicken wings with Korean hot sauce.
Chicken Massaman Curry
Diced chicken in Bangkok style Massaman curry paste with potato, onion, coconut milk and spices.
Roast Duck Plum Sauce
Freshly roasted duck served with plum sauce.
Penang Char Kaey Teow
Flat rice noodles with prawns, beansprouts and scallions wok fried in our homemade spicy sauce.
